Mandatory Admission Criteria

Every candidate must satisfy these standard parameters set by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and partnered universities.

Academic Percentage

Must have a combined score of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in 10+2 / Senior Secondary examinations. Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) require a minimum of 40%.

NEET Qualification

A qualifying scorecard in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is mandatory for Indian students planning to practice in India or appear for FMGE / NExT licensing exams.

Minimum Age Limit

The student must be at least 17 years old by December 31st of the year of admission. There is no maximum upper age limit to apply for MBBS in Uzbekistan.

Core Subjects Requirements

Students must have completed senior secondary schooling from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, or State Board) with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.

Why NEET-UG Qualification is Crucial

According to the National Medical Commission (NMC) Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations 2021, qualifying the NEET-UG examination is a compulsory prerequisite for any Indian student choosing to study medicine overseas.

If a student takes admission in an MBBS course abroad without qualifying NEET, they face several critical consequences:

  • They will not be allowed to register with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or any State Medical Council in India.
  • They will be ineligible to appear for the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Exam) or the upcoming NExT (National Exit Test) screening exams.
  • Consequently, they will not receive a license to practice medicine, do internships, or work in any hospital in India.
Important Note on NEET Validity: According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the NEET scorecard remains valid for a period of 3 years from the date of result announcement specifically for taking admission to medical programs abroad.

For students who do not plan to practice medicine in India (e.g., those intending to settle in the UK, USA, or Middle East), qualifying NEET is not strictly mandatory under foreign university rules, but it is highly recommended as a safety net in case career plans change in the future.

What is the validity of my NEET score for studying MBBS abroad?

The NEET scorecard remains valid for a maximum of three (3) years from the date of announcement of results for students securing admission to medical courses abroad.

Is SC/ST/OBC category relaxation applicable for PCB marks?

Yes, SC/ST/OBC category candidates require a minimum combined score of 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 12th grade, compared to 50% for General category candidates.
